Who is SistREhood?
Our Story
What started as a friendly conversation in early 2019, as we witnessed the neighborhoods we grew up in become unaffordable to working class families, like ours, led to the birth of SistREhood in February 2020.
We purchased our first property in the Anacostia neighborhood of Washington, DC. The property presented us with a unique set of challenges however, after a successful renovation we were able to provide a beautiful home to a lovely family. This experience birthed SistREhood's mission - "To provide quality housing to women and minorities in Washington, DC and the surrounding areas."
We purchase, renovate, and mange properties throughout Washington, DC and the surrounding areas with the goal of providing great homes in safe neighborhoods to families of varying economic backgrounds. We believe every family deserves a beautiful space to call their own and love pouring into the neighborhoods that shaped us.
